The Second Research Institute of CAAC is a high-tech enterprise in civil aviation technology research and development. It was formally established in Beijing on December 11, 1958 named as Science Institute of CAAC. At present, it is located at No. 17, Second Section, Second Ring Road South, Chengdu, Sichuan province. The Second Research Institute of CAAC has mainly engaged in scientific research, marketing of information management system, ATC, airport low-voltage system, aviation logistics system, aviation safety system, aerochemical products, technical test of airworthiness of aerochemical products, flame retardant property of aircraft nonmetallic materials, spraying equipment of general equipment, ATC automatic system, ATC radar system, ATC navigation system, as well as approval of aviation fuel airworthiness, inspection for energy saving and emission reduction and other technical supports in civil aviation.
